What is exactly is TechnoTrack?

TechnoTrack is a powerful maintenance tool that will provide centralised management of your existing and future repairs, accessible from anywhere with an internet connection.

The system can be set to specific time frames to flag expiry dates and give future forecasts for remedial action to be taken.

Could the system provide upcoming repairs information?

The built in search engine can provide, not only all the repairs in a time frame or shut down window, but can also be enabled to search for:

• system specific
• priority
• material grade
• medium/product
• or any combination of data.

Is the documentation available to users and auditing authorities?

Yes, provided you have given them access in the same way as a normal user with an available license key.

How is user restriction on access taken into account?

We understand the importance of correct data presentation and data entry and have provided user level login rights.

As an example, if a defect was identified on the installation by a technician, he would only be able to log in and gain access to the ‘Add new Defects’ field.

This would allow him to input basic data. Once the entry is confirmed the system can then email the appropriate authority that a new entry has been submitted.

I need some assistance with the use of the TechnoTrack system?

As well as an online handbook, we provide a first and second line human help desk. For operational issues the calls would come through to Walker Technical’s call centre.

If the assistance is of a more technical issue with regard to software functionality and support, the call will be directed to iQ Integrity.

Could I view multiple sites from one location?

Yes, were a client is managing more than one asset, there would be a central hub login that would enable access to all the locations.

The individual assets would only have access to their own areas, again this is controlled by user login privileges .

How secure is the system and where is our data stored?

In understanding the need for client confidentiality and data security, the client specific data is subject to a 128bit encryption of all data transferred.

In addition, daily hacker and penetration testing is carried out by McAfee Labs. The system utilizes an Enterprise class Cisco firewall.

As part of a clients participation we also enter into Non Disclosure and Confidentiality agreements.

Where is the TechnoTrack system on the world wide web?

TechnoTrack is located as a dedicated high availability server cluster, within a secure data centre on Scotland’s main internet exchange with direct connections to London Telecity and Linx.

Where can I access my TechnoTrack system from?

Anywhere with access to the internet, provided you have an appropriate username and password privilege.

How does TechnoTrack compare to what is already being used?

TechnoTrack has no real comparison with existing registers, whether to track anomolies, asset maintenance or temporary repairs.

All current systems are basic in functionality and format, some are spreadsheets or simple tables of repair data, with seperate storage of related documents and pictures.

TechnoTrack provides a common standard for the industry which is accessible from anywhere to enable the same data to be used and updated by everyone connected with repair management.

Can I use it to maintain and monitor structural repairs?

An additional module has already been requested by several of our clients and we would be happy to discuss your requirement.

What about upgrades to the system and meeting other users?

As the use of the system grows we will obtain feedback from our clients and then provide a free up grade to all users.

We will hold regular meetings with end users and encourage them to discuss the system in an open forum and put forward the requests and issues to be considered as part of the ongoing development of TechnoTrack.
